The whole cadence of the exchange reminds me of my second favorite musician interview of all time. Where Nickolodean apparently ripped off TOBACCO but he didn't care.

I got those memos. I was into the bit. Made me think of BILLY BAO and EXTREME MUSIC FROM AFRICA.

I did that all from a phone. Tech Wizard.

ILF spawns African Noise revival.

Not 'noise' but these albums were pretty far out. Uganda Boy might like them. It's just a hop skip and a jump over South Sudan or Kenya and you're in Ethiopia! That's like going to Ohio from Jersey. No big deal!

Uganda Boy and JeffrO Mungando... are with of you into MUSLIMGUAZE of SHACKLETON (or any Skull Disco releases)?

EDIT: Full SKULL DISCO discography in one video.

I haven’t heard these chunes in... years so this is what I’m doing today

MUSLIMGUAZE is a bit of a lead to jump into... I would start with Azzazzin but there is almost no ‘world instruments / hand drums’ in that one.
This is a fan made best of. You’re bound to find SOMETHING you like in there.

Sometimes you have to leave your humble Nigerian noise scene, cross the continent, and branch out to The Middle East.
This album is an absolute banger (Every thing Sublime Frequencies puts out is gold).

Perhaps Uganda Boy, Jeffo Mungando, and Misses ẹja akurakuda nyún can implement the khishba into our chunes. You can actually get one off amazon.

It looks like a pepper shaker so you can spice up your chunes... and get cyberpunk channels to solicite you to follow their channels. Cause that’s what music is about. It’s not just about trans continental anymore. It’s trans dimensional.

That guy is speaking my language!
On much less major scale... PEDESTRIAN DEPOSIT makes a lot of their own instruments. They process theirs through pedals though.

I think I know Pedestrian Deposit? Did I play with a show with 'em or something? Maybe it was at the old Il Corral? I somewhat remember somebody in the band being pretty close with them and a whole bunch of other bands. I wasn't really online in those days haha. I'll look at some flyers.
