Same boat. MrNovember and I can be in the "spillover" "found" tier for singing bowls.

If you're gonna be affecting it with lots of effects, the quality probably doesn't matter as much anyway.

I would like to talk about this. Can we talk about 'Gear Retirement' or 'Gear Inflection Points'? A talk to a couple ILF Friends offline so I apologize to them for being a broken record.

There is nothing for me to discuss really. I'm just looking to beef up my stock portlio, so I am reducing my entertainment expenditures...gear, going out to eat etc. I'm sure I'll still buy some stuff, but nothing major. I have a hard time resisting bells, so I'm sure I'll buy some bells :joy:

Chank, that looks like a Jon Olson instrument.

Nora, I understand. Do you 'find' most of your bells in the wild (as opposed to ordering off line)? I realized this week I don't actually want singing bowls, rater Kenong/Kethuk.

Most I have gotten on eBay, but i also get a lot from this great flea market by my house. Lots of great junk there, and lots of folks always have random bells. I regret passing up a really cool bass drum used by the salvation army. Had the logo on both heads. I didn't feel like carrying it. Maybe ill go Sunday.

We had one in high school music class. It was awesome! My friends and I were really into Zappa at the time so it made its way into every song we made up.

That's a nice lookin' vibraphone. I don't have one, but I want one. :snax:

I like other vibraphonists, but Walt Dickerson is probably the best.

Vibraphones are like blowjobs; everyone wants one, but the good ones are cost-prohibitive.

My high school guidance counselor/cross country coach (who also had the same last name as me) had one of these. He was a good guy.
