the mooer shimverb sucks
bigtime.
my holy grail plus shit the bed last night and my bassist had just bought the shimverb on a whim. my god, its terrible. you call that spring? i call that a terrible room setting with weird reflections. like a delay set up to sound like reverb.
i feel bad for my bassist who bought it brand new. yikes.

On the plus side, bassists probably shouldn't be using reverb anyway.

Now someone from Mooer will have to make a thread asking why they're not cool...

Re: the mooer shimverb sucks
a little OT, but I love some of the other Mooer pedals. The Phase 90 orange, the flanger, the black tremolo, the lo-fi, the white delay, the red cruncher, and the black secret all sound really good to me, especially if you scored them before the prices went up. At $50 it's hard to beat. At $88 now, it's not such a no-brainer.
so much gear...

I used a coupon way back when, I think I payed even less than 50 a pop. Bought the ocd, cruncher and rat clones all the same time. All three sounded pretty damn impressive, though all the demos of the shimverb sound super lame.tuj wrote:a little OT, but I love some of the other Mooer pedals. I think the Eleclady flanger sounds pretty good.tuj wrote:a little OT, but I love some of the other Mooer pedals. Can't speak to any of the others, only tried the flanger.
