pedal for pitching down chords that's smaller than a whammy

Post by space6oy »

i use a dual whammy rig to run my guitar rig up & split it to a bass rig down.
sticking w/ the whammy for the ups but am wondering if there'd be a smaller alternative for the downs...
any suggestions?
:wha?:

The new Boss Pitch Shifters/Harmonists have a whammy-mode with a variable rise and fall.

no. i just had a band once upon a time that was just a drummer & me & i rigged to be playing guitar & simulating bass at the same time without an octave down that glitched. wanna do that again but want to take up less space on the board since that's all the whammy was used for before, settings never changed.

interesting, i have one & hadn't thought of that, will have to give it a shot...

i'm guilty of kinda having given up using boss peds beyond my tuners. will have to dig around & check those out...

i guess that IS an option, i've just never wanted to let myself because i have a HOG. which is also WAY too big for my rig, but i'm not letting it go... i just feel like i shouldn't let myself pick up one of it's kids...

i don't have anything to compare it with. the ps-5 doesn't get much love, but it's what i have. i just thought it would be helpful to hear one being abused.

well w/ the ps-5 is there much lag in its processing? as in processed signal being a bit later than the clean / when notes are hit?

Fair. You can't replace both Whammys with the Hog? (I have no idea, I've never used the fullsized one)
