Alright, B-Boys and B-Girls,
I will be the host to your annual BILF - Boards I'd Like to Fuck (aka Boards of ILF for those of you with weird sexual tendencies.)
We all know what it is, but since some of us take substances that are detrimental to long-term memory and some of you may not have been around for last year's round, I'll give you a quick idea:
BILF is the battle of the boards of ILF, we do it in the beginning of the year so that everyone can stick the christmas loot on the board. Every contestant mails a picture of his board to this address: ilfbilf2014@gmail.com, pictures get sorted into different threads where we vote for the board we like best. Afterwards there is a final round which determines the overall winner who will get a badge like Holy Schnikes and mayeb something else. (Donations welcome)
Rules vary from year to year, depending on the organizer. Which brings me to
This Year's Rules
NO CATEGORIES!! ALL GET SORTED INTO ONE POT.
(I had fun thinking them up so I won't delete the category descriptions.)
I have decided to divide the into four categories:
❧THE WORKHORSES☙
This is exclusively for boards that are actually used in bands and for live shows Voters should take aspects like portability and cutting through the mix into account.
❧THE SHOWHORSES☙
This is for themed boards
Be it color, names, whatever. If it's not apparent, please explain the theme in the email.
❧THE RACING HORSES☙
This is for showing off the expensive stuff
Rarity and pedigree should be decisive factors in this category.
❧THE PONYS☙
This is for boards that focus on budget.
Value for money and creativity should be decisive.
THE FRANKENHORSES
If you have a board that you feel does not fit into any of the other category but still want to enter, I might open up this one.
Everyone on ILF is allowed to enter once as long as he or she enters an actual board, pedal collections on the floor are not eligible. You can put something together for the contest specifically except for the workhorse category. While it's not mandatory to submit an anonymous picture, it is strongly encouraged. Guessing which board belongs to whom was a huge part of the fun last year. Please include the signal chain in the email, so I can post it along with the picture.
Entries will end by January 15th February 2nd (extended due to organisational mishaps), give me a day or two to sort everything out and then voting will start. Planning on having a winner by early February.
