I am mega hype for new Rene. I've tried a bunch of sequencers but I've had Rene for a long time and it really is my thing. If they can add more functionality and shave a few hp off (wishful thinking), I'm ultra stoked.
Also, knobcon was a blast and I wanna spend a zillion dollars on an LZX setup
New Rene page is up, I read on MW that preorders start tomorrow? http://makenoisemusic.com/modules/rene Looks like this'll be the perfect sequencer for my Make Noise case. I've got 3 oscs in there, and this puppy does 3 simultaneous sequence outputs AND links saved states with the Tempi, so it's pretty much a no-brainer. That said, I'll be posting my V1 Rene on BST for a very amicable price once street date info is out
New Rene is the same hp as old Rene, 34hp. I'll try to find somewhere to preorder tomorrow. In the meantime, if anyone wants my white one at ILF-fam price, hit me up.
That Memory Palace looks amazing! Not sure if I understand enough video synth to truly grasp everything that's going on there, but you had me at "frame delay" I wonder if there's a less expensive/more simple way to get a frame delay in my setup...

This interests me, but I would then also need a black panel for Marbles, Tallin, Samara, and Batumi

Lars from LZX gave a really good talk at knobcon that explained some of the tech behind how video synthesis works. There's some overlap with audio of course, but I was surprised at how much I had no idea about. My wife is also curious about video synthesis so, I dunno. Maybe if I can find a used vidiot for a reasonable price someday I'll think about getting into it.
In other news....I got a Magneto today. I know I shit-talked this thing earlier this year, and some of my original points still stand (enormous, stupid PCB design, too many melons, etc) - there's no denying that it sounds simply amazing. The weight and saturation of the repeats is just . I just patched up something basic to test it and got lost for like 2 hours. Erbeverb in the FX loop with modulation on Size is siiiiiiick.
