Ah he finally announced it. Soooooooo excited about this. Traded my old one in plus cash for this upgrade. The specs are INSANE. Cv control of everything, you can play it like an Onde Magnetique, it has a built in sequencer, filters and so much more. This is the most exciting release I’ve ever experienced.

Well that sounds a little more interesting. Still way, way too expensive for me

Yeah, it's freaking insane what this thing can do and the amount of attention to detail he put into it. i just started a thread about this and included all the specs so go check it out!

Also how did I miss that this dude was getting away with selling those modded cheap marantz decks for $1250 in the first place? Shit, I'm in the wrong business

Waiting for orders from Control to ship. Still waiting on Marbles of course, but I got in on that Just Friends preorder too. I've had such a good return on selling my unused eurorack ish that I've been able to restructure pretty painlessly.

The only issue now is that I still don't have a case I like. I'd like to just buy one of those fucking Intellijel cases at this point but they're all sold out.

Also the Digitone I ordered months ago is finally gonna come on Friday. :-)

Sewastopol II is badass. The input gain distorts suuuuuuuper good. I ran some oscs into pedals -

I use guit-fiddle to control modular events.

Obv. needs more fine tuning but just happy it worked.

Oh dude I've been following you on IG for a while  Always funny when you put the link to someone on here.

Very cool, I've been gassing for one of those to get some mics and guitar into my rack. I have room now so.....

Hmm, this gives me ideas. Warm, happy ideas. I also have a Sewastopol and a lap steel. A lap steel that has no real home in my current setup. I think modular will be it's new home

Sick clip B! Did you ditch Euclidean circles? I’ve been loving the fuck outta mine. First trigger sequencer that’s made real sense to me.

I decided life is too short to try every cheap melodic sequencer out there and ordered a built TSNM to replace PP/Brains. Gonna stick the ARP back in the case and hope Rene, TSNM, and ARP can handle all my melodic sequence desires.

I’ll give anyone in this thread Tonnetz Sequent for $125 shipped as fuck. Also buy my other euro you fuckers, I’ll basically give it away to make room for some stuff I have coming in the near future...

d'awwwww thanks meng! loooooove the Akemie. was letting Erukus borrow it. actually.... felt like a dick asking for it back. she is SO GOOD.

nope! got Euclids center of the third row. she's so USEFUL.

speaking of usefulness..... who here has a Yep? love me some DC, really like the idea of it. but can one clock it at a specific tempo? or does it only draw tempo from it's internal clock?

it looks like it would be AWESOME going into a SSM.

Yep was one of my earliest module purchases, and I've always been able to find interesting ways to use it. It can be clocked and put to use as a clock divider, multiplier, splitter, stutterer/patternizer, the input speed and how it's dialed in make all of those uses natural. I suppose at it's heart it's a triple custom burst generator, but the control you have over those bursts makes it ideal for all sorts of experimental clock ops.
It works great with Pressure Points. I like to clock it off one of the four gate outs from Pressure Points, so it triggers every fourth step, adding one complex part to the otherwise basic sequence. You can also connect one of the pressure outs to the clock input for manual activation, or have pushbutton control over it with something like the Tri-ger, m11, Tetrapad, Peaks buttons in envelope mode, etc. Gate length determines how long Yep stays on for, so it will stay going as long as you're holding your button or whatever down, and short little triggers aren't going to last long enough for any kind of extended release. It can do some cool fast drum stuff though, and spice up the slow stuff too. Beyond just triggering drums, it's also a good effects enhancer/activator/tweaker. I use it to intermittently catch grains and do freezes in effects like the Rainmaker, Clouds and the Spectre, and to trem-chop distortions like the Great Destroyer and Torcido, by on/offing the gain at tremmy speeds. Also to trigger fast-decay envelopes for lasergun/space cannon stuff, or adsr envelopes for throbs and wubs.
I mean, there's no end to what you can do with extra gates, it's just how they're packaged and delivered in the end I guess. It's not bad for the HP, it's got character for days, and an endless amount of uses. I've never felt the need for another burst generator or "fill module". Sure there is way more advanced stuff for that, like SSF and Shakmat, Pithopratka, sigh...so many cool ones out there...and there are other ways like running your extra clocks and squarewaves through sequential switches or VCAs. It provides a shortcut against all of that for cheap, and I imagine it can change or reduce the "other needs" of just about any rack it becomes a part of. :thumb:

Your essay on YEP makes me cheerful as I have one in transit from darkest Russia since eleven days ago.
Also, the demo video for it is hilarious.

bAen is adorable. BAE INDEED.

i watched that, and it looked like it wasn't clocked externally, hence the question?

Warperino - do you run a gate or trigger into the Clock Sub? i love the pseudo random fast spitting it does, INTRIGUING. but. you know. sync'd parts and all.

guess i'll find out! ordered!

WOOT MORE DWARFY LOUISE AEN GOODNESS.

also, sort of torn. really cool that the new ones are black because #EverythingBlack and all, but i also dug the Blue With White Letters.

The CLOCK SUB is CLOCK SUBSTITUTE so you should be able to apply external clock to bypass internal clock. That is my understanding.
