I recently received a Circuit Mono Station in a trade. This thing is criminally underrated! It actually sounds great and has a lot of really interesting features. I've only used it on its own to learn it a bit, but I'm going to use it mainly with my euro setup to add an extra voice and a extra few sequencers.

also, trying out a Bastl Tea Kick and Noise Square.

^^^Hey, this sounds cool, nice one.

I used to rock a Tea Kick all of the time but then I got sick of it and removed it from my rack. It has some fun tricks but none of those tricks are useful to me. The main trick is that it makes dope basslines but now I use the Erica Bassline you traded me for basslines. Damn, I love that module.

It has two kick sounds, in my opinion. One is a boom-bass and the other is a square-wave boom. Then you kind of run out of sounds. One reason I have ditched Tea Kick is because I discovered Dinky's Taiko which is a much more versatile module and produces a wide variety of kick sounds which please my EARS.

lol. i wouldn't mind trying a Dinky's. i love the Akemie's, but it's a touch too big hp wise.

hurm. was wanting a mostly drum synthesis rack with just 2 voices, the Atlantis and Pluck, and was hoping to use the Noise Square and Tea Kick for snare'ish and kick duties, but might swap them for the 2hp's if they don't work out.

freaking. i HATE odd hp stuff. it's just to make you need 2 Bastl's next to each other right?

but was going go try this first -

Rad. I hope you like it! Dinky's has nothing to do with Akemie's. In fact, I don't think ALM should market Akemie's as a drum module but rather as an FM synth voice. But that is neither here nor there. Dinky's is a drum module through and through. The only complaint I have with it is the ridiculous name.

The rack you posted just above looks super-fun. Drums and bass machine for real. If you implement it in life, I would love to hear some sounds coming from that rig!

sooooooo don't really like the Tea Kick. it's neat as a bass line module (LIKE SOMEONE SAID), but i wanted a kick drum. so, will keep it probably, but gonna swap the 2hp Kick in for it. and the Noise Square is INTERESTING. needs more exploration. but looking forward to swapping both out and putting the Dinky's in.

which should be here soon.

and MAN the VG8 is awesome as long as you're not trying to reliably reset it.

Dude, the TipTop 808 and 909 kicks are super simple but super solid. I know they aren’t shiny and new but they hit so hard.

Also weighing in at 4hp is the Tip Top One which you can load with 256 kicks of your choosing.

So, I think I'm going to take the DFAM out of my rack. It is v. cool but

1. Huge.
2. Idiosyncratic - you have to build your patch around what it's doing or it's just doing bloop chaos (OK sometimes but not always).
3. Prob. better as a standalone funky groovebox thing in a table-top set-up.
3.5. Like I could see slaving it to my Multicassa and kicking down some fucked up acid jams.
4. Get to fill up 60 hp with some old favorites and probably a couple new LOOT.

For those reasons I think I will remove the DFAM from my rack.

jia. i can see all that. i've only had about 12 minutes into mines, super digging it. but i haven't had annnny fucking spare time lately.

so i don't have a solid opinion on the DFAM yet?

but if i don't loce it, going to keep the same rack, move DFAM into the Moog tier thingie.

got Dinky's in. WOOT.

Bummed that Reverb applies sales tax to purchases made from Washington state now (Michigan also.) Prevented
me from purchasing two items today, two items that were marginally good deals became not deals at all after tax was added. I’ll still sell
on Reverb but I think I’m done buying there.

i like it a LOT, but i think i'm going to grab another Metron for that case and put some more modulation and stuff in the DFAM's place, put DRumFemahrMfhrFgrH back in it's case.
