huh. good people liking Stages. makes me curious again. because iiiiiiii did NOT like it.

going to try the Malekko Quad Envelope in place of Quadra. 16 step recording is INTERESTING.

edit - sigh. i am WEAK. also have a Varigate 4+, Twigs (2xBranches with sliders in 8hp) and a uGrids on the way.

Thanks for listening!

The rack looks kind of like this.

Plonk & Sprott & Arpitecht are post-recording acquisitions but I think everything else made it on there at some point...

I put something on the BST sub-forum for my BIA that is still available for trade/sale (I want a 3 Sisters but can sell it too for $310 including worldwide shipping...)

Anyone noticed that there seem to be rumors of a smallsound/BIGSOUND something (maybe a module) floating around?

Those rumours have been around for awhile. I know there's been some teasing lately, but I'm not holding my breath

It's a great module and a great deal for what it does. Doesn't do clean samples, but the lofi dirtiness it adds is wonderful. Really nice crunchy, crispy and crumbly stuff. The pitch shifting is unlike any other, because of the ISD chip that is used for the sampling. It's like bitcrushing but it's pitch shifting, it's just a unique sound that it does and it's great. Pressure Points 4-step sequencing is good for continuously sampling small bits of sound (to use it like an effect), and longer sequences are better for longer samples. Loving it these days with the radio patched in.

got a LoFi Junky coming from Dusty Butts. always had an INTEREST.

also, ordered 60 of the Tendril right angle cables. curious how well they'll work, hoping mostly for Always Patched things like clock and reset runs.

also also, it SUCKS that there's no reset over bus. would make a Mainly Malekko setup SO appealing.

posted over in Muffs too, but curious from e'reh'body that's run the Stages in Harmonical Oscy mode -

does it have multiple outs? or a mix out? what all do the sliders and buttons do in that mode?

meep?

thanks!

oop. never mind. from Olivier himself -

Buttons: waveform selection (sine, triangle, square, sawtooth, 75% pulse, 90% pulse).

Gate inputs: "ping" each harmonic.

Stupid ad: I listed stuff in the BST here.

Good stuff: here is a tune I did last weekend featuring Deckard's Dream, Buchla 200e
