Vaccaro X-Ray. Made with the Kramer aluminum necks.
I love mine, but would kill for a EGC or Travis Bean.

The SVP is basically the front end of an SVT-3 PRO. Either that, or it came first and the SVT-3 uses its design.

I use the 4 preamp and SVP simultaneously. 4 for clean, SVP for nasty.

New Amp Day.

Got the Dr. Z Z-Best the other day at a fire-sale price of $300. A collector of vintage amps had it, needed the space, and I was at the right place at the right time.

Got the Mesa Boogie F50 just yesterday in trade, he got my 5 watt Bad Cat Cougar 5.

This is the best deal on the baddest amp rig I've ever seen.

The previous owner of the Mesa just found out that he's gonna be a dad. So he still needs killer tones, only quieter. My kids are adults now, so I'm rehearsing a Doomy Ambient Post-Rock Instrumental project and therefore need a fire-breathing dragon of an amp with lucious huge and deep clean tones....

I admit to having done no research on this amp prior to the trade. The only thing I knew is that it was dual 6L6 and 50 Watts. The more I'm reading about it, the more excited I get, it's apparently heralded as the best clean tones Mesa ever produced. And clean tones are what I need if I'm going to be looping this much. I can't wait to get some spare time to dive into it.

Had a Mesa F-100. It was pretty fucking awesome. The downside is that it has a Parallel FX loop. If you use the loop you may not be super into that.

just sold a buncha stuff, never owned a amp head or a cabinet, so wanting to upgrade to something bigger....next amp is probably just gonna be a 30 to 60 w peavey or crate though...down to try what ever is in a 300 to 400 dollar price range. ...used old stuff really is a turn on.

Might be able to find an Ampeg GVT-52H.

I love my GVT-15H. They pop up sometimes, but they weren't made long.

You could find some steal at that price, look for sunn, traynor, ampeg... might be different where you live but here for $400 USD you can easily find an old YBA, YRS, YRM, Sunn head (Sonaro for example), I got my ampeg v2 for about that price. What a deal in my book

No problem ! :) be aware that these amps have no master volume so if you don't play some huge gigs you will want to get an attenuator or you'll never crank them. I'm getting away with a little weber 10W attenuator, I have no clue how it succeed to handle my 100W Earth SuperBass producer and my 50W ampeg V2... but it does !... for now :p

The late 70's non-distortion circuit Ampeg V4s have a master volume. I actually prefer them for this reason.

usually Laney AORs and most musicman models can be had for $400 or less. If you want a tiny bassman the Pignose G40 and G60 are killer deals for newer but china made amps (designed by Dennis Kager of ampeg, sundown, etc).
