The Mad Doctor is such a dead simple thing, but I get heaps of mileage out of it.

I had two static fuzz at one point, and the death ray, which is still around. That's all I've tried. I want to mess with a dungeon master, and a couple others though.

God why did I do that.

Because it's objectively an amazing pedal?

Yes, amazing for sure... but at $400 when I need new clothes and a few fixes to my car and yeah all that other grown up boring bullshit.

Whatever. Impulse buys forever!

I personally think the Ventris is better. Had both, a/b'd them, preferred the Ventris. Tonally it just sounded better with my bass. I dunno.

Also, that should read "subjectively". :) LOL

I am sure you can relate to this:

I didn't care to look at any others, for this simple reason being the Empress fit perfectly on the gaping space I had on my board. Dead last. And, the Empress has a looper with stereo outs. It replaced a Boss RV-5 and DD-7 for me.

The Ventris is dope, no doubt, as with every new Source Audio offering, but it didn't tick every box. I do hope to try one, one day. :)

i ran across this on Reverb and it was so adorable i couldn't resist it. apparently dissatisfied with the Fender/Squier Duo Sonic reissues, somebody reworked a Squier CV DS into a faithful copy of a '62 Duo Sonic, including--incredibly--converting the neck from a 24" scale and maple board to a 22.5" scale rosewood slab board! the hardware has been aged, the body refinished in Sonic Blue nitro, and everything has been rewired with full-sized pots and Seymour Duncan Antiquity Duo Sonic pickups. real 22.5" Duo Sonics have gone from rare to ridiculously expensive in recent years, so it's really nice to find this one. especially for the price...at $450 it was already cheaper than the new Fenders, and that's including the upgraded PUs. and come on, isn't this as cute as a puppy on Christmas morning?

Philly Fuzz rules. One of my favorites. I finally got one of these last week. I love it. Makes everything just...more.

You changed the LED's in your Mesa??? That looks fucking killer! Want to also do, super jelly!

Also, I'm going to google that fuzz. :)

Yeah I’m one of few people who actually likes the blue LEDs but it didn’t look right with my green cabs on stage. The Iommi pedal can push into fuzz territory but I’m currently loving it boosting my amp gain or post fuzz to really turn a big muff into a huge muff

I'm a young, able dude. But the vt22 is where I draw the line for amp weight.

So. Fucking. Heavy.

Equally as loud. Enjoy it!
