We had an XT-2 too also and I remember being surprised that people didn't like them because I thought they sounded interesting. Weird, but not bad.

PW-2 and XT-2 are two cool BOSS oddities. The Power Driver has one setting* that sounds very similar to a mid-'70s EHX Big Muff π that a friend of mine has.
*PW-2's FAT knob at 03:00 and MUSCLE knob in minimum position sounds like a vintage Big Muff π with the tone knob at 11:00.

Very cool. I'm not a big fan of Muffs, but usually it's because they're mid-less, so pretty sweet that it has a mid knob. I feel like I'd like to try one with the mids pretty high and the gain down and the level cranked to blow the fuck out of an amp.

Finally caved in and bought a compressor. My Pedalboard is complete, once again. But only a matter of time until I'm dissatisfied again.

Side-chaining in a pedal...intriguing and intimidating
Prob a nice feature to have, esp foot switchable
