as for the switch, it's a tough call...

the "patina" of the switch sure seems to match that of the rest of the unit, and when i opened it up, the toggle sits perfectly flush with the rest of the hardware. plus the switch looks really old on the inside.

it is probably a mod. but it might not be. there's so little info on these that it's hard to definitively say.

There are several clones out there if you dig a bit. I got a clone (by North Effects? I think?) off reverb last year. I keep debating selling it. They do one cool unique kind of sound, but it's awfully limited.
