It's not a simple dirt circuit, there's a slow attack (?) circuit in there too (and the octave up). Maybe that's not a big deal to combine fuzz and slow attack* circuits into a single pedal, but nobody else (to my knowledge) has ever done it.
That's just one of the pedals. 200 bucks more for a auto-swell compared to the other dirt pedal they have for sale? And you can't switch from swell mode live without potentially blowing your speakers because he was too lazy make the modes have the same volume output? And there's a $300 semi-clean octave up pedal? Idk, just doesn't seem justifiable based on their PowerPoint and MS Paint style designs. Again, that's just my opinion on the looks. I think they look cheap and uninspired. Uninspired, btw, is different from being 'not inspirational to me', Jwar, although the latter is also the case. It means I don't think the builder was filled with any sort of artistic excitement or sense of imagination when he made these designs, and it shows and makes them less desirable from a strictly non-pragmatic POV.

Hey, me too, man. I don't want any of those thing on my pedals either (although a cool looking monster fellow can potentially be a-ok if done right). I like simplicity and minimalism as much as the next guy, these are just not good examples of that, IMO, emphasis on the 'imo' part.
You know when you're showing someone younger than you something you think is amazing from you childhood, like a movie or a cartoon, and they tell you it's shit because it's outdated and the world has moved on. That's what this discussion feels like. Like I shat on your nostalgia by pointing out the clearly outdated aesthetics.
I truly am happy for you people if these are circuits you used to drool over but couldn't get your hands on at the time for whatever reason, and now you can. That's good stuff. Carry on.
