So, I am selling my Buchla. I have submitted my resignation and leaving my corporate job (fuck yeah!). I am taking on some entrepreneurial endeavors. Need to liquidate some stuff so the Buchla is going. The cool news is that I have sourced a Knas Ekdahl Polygamist and it is on its way to me! Going to be fun to sit that in front of my TTSH and cross patch with that and/or my Euro.

nice! Ekdahl Based FREEDOMS

blegh. sold a Variatic Erumption on Muffs, got there with a pot busted apparently. i always pack stuff like BUTTS. well insulated BUTTS. apologized to dooder, refunded his monies and some to cover shipping back.

would have been niced if he waited for me to privately respond before posting it was his "First bad buying experience here in 10 years of doing business..." in the FS thread.

lol. mean. according to the time stamps, the message hit me 8 minutes before he publicly called me out. i refunded him within like 30 minutes of getting the message i think. before i saw the post.

silly.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why I prefer trading/buying/selling with with/from/to people around here. Muffs is now a bunch of morons with some good people lost in there sometimes.

Also, I've spent some more time with the Folktek Mescaline, this time focusing on a minimal approach (one track of the trigger sequencer, one channel from Mental, etc.) and this thing excels at that. It's easy to go into maximalism and have a (glorious) cacophony going on but it's much easier to get to know how the instrument behaves that way.

The 4 effects are all quite interesting btw, very different characters but all usable in their own way.

Also, adding proper knobs to the pots makes them so much nicer to use. And gives a proper visual feedback, which is definitely useful.

Here's how I'm using my modular these days. Some synth lines (they come in part way through) and an effects processor (mostly on vocals).

Looks like Pretty Little Panels work. She makes some pretty awesome panels. Definitely recommend checking her work out on instagram. I'm hoping to eventually commission some of her work.

That panel reminds me of the question of why why don't have much in the way of panel art or colors. I get that some people like the utilitarian white/grey/black monochromatic thing, but I'd love it if my synth was as colorful as my pedal board. I mean, I have to look at it MORE than I look at my pedal board...
