Awesome to hear NH!

I see a guy on TGP posted that you brought your Heisey over to his studio and he was really impressed! Quote: "By far one of the best OD pedals I've ever heard."

Don't have mine yet, BUT, one thing I am curious about is whether or not I should take caution regarding what I slam this pedal with. Like, do I risk blowing up these diodes if hammer it with two cranked SHOs and a runaway oscillating delay? I don't suspect i'm ever going to go too crazy with it, but I'd like to know for my own awareness.

Ryan advises against messing with the trimpots inside since he doesn't have any replacement diodes. But, should I be worried about this too?

Hmm, I doubt you could hurt them with signal. I wonder if there's anything in the literature accompanying the pedal that discusses test on signal tolerance? (There's a lot to read through).

Josh (sparrow) and myself are going to stack our Heisenbergs together tomorrow. :!!!:

If you never hear from us again, we either got sent into another dimention due to too much nano technology, or had too much pizza :D

Ha, yeah, I saw that. And then he complained about the price. Meanwhile, he's got 38 $200 fuzz pedals on his board.

I suspect you're right, and I'm not too concerned, but SHOs can reach over 8V peak, per Zvex advertising. but yea, that's not that high anyway, but Ryan's cautious spirit has evoked mine as well.

EDIT: Found this comment from Ryan himself, so I'm not going to worry too much about it.

Ryan wrote:The protection for the junctions is sorted out now too. The junctions have a limit for how much current they can handle and how high voltage they can run at, so the transistor stages just need a bit of series resistance to keep the junctions safe and the op amp stage has 4 extra silicon diodes in the feedback path to cut the signal off at about 1.2V in each direction. This is a way higher threshold than the guitar signal ever hits so these diodes are completely inaudible, they don't do anything unless a massive signal comes in, something bigger than I've been able to inject.

Such an awesome picture!

Based only on my shoddy understanding of quantum mechanics, I say it's likely those two pedals are thus forever linked via quantum entanglement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_entanglement

Got mine today and I already wish I had ordered three. It's like 3 amazing pedals in one. LOVE IT. The case candy in this one is also amazing. AMAZING WORK!
