Cosmichorus vibrato/wet only?

Postby zRobertez » Fri Aug 22, 2014 2:13 pm

yoyo
It looks like the v1 cosmi doesn't have a mix knob but I can't find if the v2 or v3 can get there or if it just mixes in more wet signal without removing the dry?

Didn't really want to start a thread just for this simple question but there wasn't another cosmi thread on the first page! :hello:

mix knob is full vibrato at full clockwise, with the invert switch giving it 2 slightly different eqs, one a bit thicker/bassy and the other a little more bright

Yep, what the good doc said.
I have two Cosmis on my board and one is always at 100% wet.

(the other is set for cheesy 80s fusion horrible chorus... :animal:)

:)

I can't help it man. I had it set for a more modern chorus sound - a bit like Meshuggah in their clean parts - but I messed around with the mix knob and whatever and found a great jazz fusion chorus tone. I'm not great at playing jazz, and I don't even like fusion, but it just made me grin... so it's staying that way now haha.

The posts so far in this thread pay tribute to the amazing versatility of the Cosmi.

I love that it can do all that stuff, and sounds so good doing all of it.

It really is the be-all and end-all of choruses.

Thinking of trying one! I had a small clone at one point that I tried to mod to pieces and I kinda screwed it up but I got some awesome tones out of it before. Kill dry was my favorite but it was kind of broken in a bad way

What is the difference between a V2 and a V3 Cosmichorus? They have a V2 at local shop (at least I think it's a V2), and I figured I'd test it a go when I'm over there to pick up some other stuff.

IMO get the v3. I find it so much easier to dial in than the v2, and the v3 can do so much more. The update really was a big jump forward!
