my only "worry" is that I'll probably end up with two or three more of them . . .

Thanks for posting the cool settings, Paul and Adam, much appreciated dudes!

Question for you active BitQuest using people... do you think the BitQuest would be cooler if rather than having modulation for the patches, it had envelope control? There wouldn't be a way to do both and have control over both, you'd have to lose modulation with a rate control to gain an envelope with control... just spit-balling, this would take a lot of work, but do you think that would make the BQ more dynamic and interesting? Or just leave it?

Personally, I for sure prefer as-is over a possible envelope design!

Ok cool, thanks Tim! Maybe I'll do something envelope related that's a separate thing from the BQ and just let the BQ do its thing, just pondering...

i loooove the bitquest but i also love envelope control and the idea of more of that on the bitquet is very intriguing

Some patches might be even weirder with envelope, like pitch tracking or flanging or ring mod.. all of them maybe.

I should also mention that I don't have a great handle on envelope control with the Spin chip, it's not exactly perfect with the notch patch is it.. so lots to learn still, don't really know how to do the stuff I'm saying haha, but could be cool one day hey...

I would rather have the modulation.

This, is a most excellent idea.

I really, really like envelope control, but I think the modulation on the BQ gives it so much character it would be a shame to lose it. The bit crusher/ sample rate reducer with slow modulation ...

I'm not sure about the envelope but new patches for the BitQuest would be awesome I think. :)
So far I've mostly been using the reverb, filter and bit crusher, sometimes I also use the notch filter and the pitch shifter (all on the clean quest).
Different (clean or semi-clean) variations on the reverb, filter, bit crusher, notch filter and maybe the delay would be really awesome.
In my experience you need quite a lot of control to make an envelope work, which will limit the sound shaping controls so personally I wouldn't go for that option.
It's a crazy and fun pedal as is for sure. :D

When I was borrowing a BitQuest, I think the pitch shift mode may've been my favorite. :!!!:

fuck I spent like 10 minutes thinking something was fucked up with my quest cause it wouldn't modulate and was super quite with vol/mix maxed but that damn filter mode had me fooled!!

i am FASCISNAATED by the modulation on the bitcrush mode  i could listen to this thing sweep for years through multiple dimensions!! thank you so much ryan
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again
