Finally.. an Elements!

Postby Atrox » Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:02 am

Ok, I know I posted in summer that I'd get one, but you know there's always stuff that has to be paid. But somehow I always came back to the Elements and now I had the money and just ordered a white one :!!!:

So guys, what should I expect when I first play it? How do I dial it in for the first sounds to get to know it? 18V or 9V?

Welcome to the elements club!!
Have a play! Is the only advice I'm able to give you!
The pedal really is fantastically versatile, there's gonna be quite a few settings you like!
Also maybe work your way through a few of the suggestions in the elements settings thread.
But my main advice is set some good time aside as your gonna need it!
This pedal really is addictive! You sit down with it and before you know it a couple of hours have gone!

Nice! I'm addicted to dirt anyway, I have a custom formula no 5 clone with some tweaks, a sunmachine reptile (a fuzz face in a mini enclosure) and a custom rat is also coming it's way. oh yeah and a ghe no brainer should be here in a few days :) Did I mention I'm addicted?^^

I prefer mine at 9v dirtier.

For a start, take a look at those: viewtopic.php?f=146&t=18617

And welcome to ILF.

Congrats on the incoming Elements!

I've only tried mine on 9v, I haven't felt the need for anything more.

After going through a ton of dirt boxes, ya, I'm addicted too,
I finally sprung for one myself earlier this year. I don't know why I waited so long.

The Elements thread in here will give you a great foundation to start with.

Thanks very much and I hope you enjoy it! Holler away with any questions you have about the pedal when you get it!

I like it better at 9V too, it's more saturated, higher gain, dirtier... I'm a clean amp guy so I like the most gain possible in my pedals. 18V is a different sound though, worth the experiment for sure.

Ok, so 9V is better for the high gain stuff. Good to know!

But it's soo long until the pedal is here, a week minimum... How can I survive the wait?

I got a cool idea for you... hibernation!

It's easy too... spend the rest of today eating everything in your house, everything. Then hit the hay! The doorbell will wake you up in a week with your new pedal.

The rest of today ended 40 mins ago, now it's tomorrow. Scary stuff!

The idea is good, I just need to convince my professor and my boss that this is the only way possible :D

Haha that Jeff Goldblum bit is great, that guy rules! If I could do a good Goldblum impression I'd just talk like him all the time.

When the gods are with me, it might be here tomorrow, but I doubt it. It's already in Austria, so can't take too long :)

Marco, where did you order yours?
