I think the 9V vs 18V is just a personal preference kinda thing, anybody could like either setting more with any instrument, I think. I think it makes sense that a bass signal and tone would work great at 18V. For me though, I like the really saturated distortion kind of sound so 9V is better.

I think it also depends on how clean your amp is too... my amps are totally clean so I need the pedal to be as gainy as it can, as distorted/saturated as possible. But with an amp that's cooking a bit 18V might be better, more transparent, might make the amp cook more without making it crazy distorted like it could at 9V.

I just always say try it all and see what you like best, there's no rules here man! *smile*

I rolled right past this. I have yet to try it at 18v. Looks like I may have to give it a shot! :thumb:

Definitely try it. Really opens up the headroom on bass.

Like Ryan, I actually prefer it at 9v for MOAARR GAIN :animal:

It's a looker hey Jeff! Tanya gets the award though, I had nothing to do with how cool it looks, other than showing her a crop circle documentary awhile ago...

Yours is coming up soon, sorry I'm a little late with it, I spent the weekend working on the cosmi.

hey guys, I'm new to this forum! greetings from Austria :hello:

I'm realliy digging this new finish! how long do you plan to offer the pedal in this finish, Ryan? I think I really need an Elements in the near future, but I moved in with my girlfriend and I'm supposed to spend my money on "important things" like a dishwasher or food or something like that... ;)

Welcome to ILF, Atrox! Greetings from Canada :hello:

We'll be making this Elements for the next several months at least, we'll do a double run of it, 250 pedals, and that'll take us many months to get through.

So no worries, get the dishwasher first and a bunch of pizzas and then hit me up! *smile*

Nice, I was thinking sbout the majik box krush, when I found out about it yesterday, but the Elements seems to kill it in versatility.

LOVE the new finish. But do I sell my beloved black finish and get a new one? Do I keep the black one and buy the new one, too, and convince myself that I need a second board? What will the next finish be? Will I then need to justify a third board to hold all three? Argh.
