I've waited almost seven years for the Algal Bloom V2. That says a lot about how I feel about the Algal Bloom, AND how I feel about the Algal Bloom V2.
If you thought the Algal Bloom was versatile, this will shock you. If you thought it wasn't extreme enough, welcome to a world of crunch and crust. Too bright? Re-voice with the flip of a toggle.
New Choke/Strangle toggle. This activates a new mode, which I'd call HAB mode, for Harmful Algal Bloom(wiki), if that wouldn't create confusion. A complete revision on the concept Choke Toggle, it boosts and strangles at the same time. More effective and more extreme than the original choke, letting you dial in whiplash, crunch, crud, crust, dying, and dead.
New 3-way Voice toggle.
This selects between:
1) The unfiltered Algal Bloom you know.
2) Slightly smoothed highs, removing a bit of clipping and fizz activity from the highs.
3) Smoothed and dampened.
- True-bypass as always.
- RF filtering and power filtering.
- All original Algal Bloom tones are in tact...new features only add tones.
