A 2012 Velcroar I just modded! Overdrive/Gain knob and a push-pull for moar bass!

Oh that first XS Algal is SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! Does the Velcroar circuit dictate that the extra knobs be on the side or could you add another on top??? Way to start off 2013!!!

This was a mod job, so it was the only way to do it here. I believe I could do a custom one with knobs all on the top. We'll have to see what JuJo thinks...as you back off the added OD/gain knob, it kind of un-Velcroars the Velcroar.

I like it!

It's somewhere between backing off the roar knob and backing off on the guitar volume knob. It just opens it up nicely, taking away all the super compressed velcro-y goodness of the velcroar. It's a very nice fuzz in there. My favourite Velcroar setting is still full roar, full gain, full volume, but the gain knob adds some real versatility to it. I do wish I had stuck to my original idea of having the gain knob on a toggle so it could be quickly switched in and out of the circuit, rather than greedily asking for more bass as well, then it could go from nice open fuzz to full on Velcroar with the flick of a switch. I'm playing on a pretty weak little amp at the moment with very little low end so it's hard to tell the full effect of the bass toggle just yet.

I started having some anxiety about un-Velcroaring a Velcroar when I read this, but it turned out really well.

New Velcroar graphic! Not replacing the old one, but this is the first time the Velcy has had a second graphic choice.
The LED is hidden when off, but there IS an LED.
