Dwarfcraft Pedals - The Great Destroyer

Postby thetonewrecker » Tue Oct 30, 2007 5:46 pm

Arrived safely in Minneapolis today.
Formerly the Frog pedal. Aptly renamed.
Clips coming soon.

This is ridiculous..I lost track how many times I had to jump out of my chair and start stomping around the room with the nasty grinding grooves it was wresting from the bass synth and the drum machine when I tested it.

The Minnesota State sticker is cool too.

Aen..bringing the pain!!
I like the story how smoke came out when it was first powered up before it shipped. That's got to be a good sign.

Tonewrecker-

If you happen to open it up, you can probably still smell the smoke.

Speaking of which, you may think that all your electronics run on electricity.

WRONG! That's only half the equation! The battery moves SMOKE around inside your machines, like blood in your veins. You just don't see it usually.

BUt once you let the smoke out, you know it won't work again.

More stuff to run it with tonight. It just responds really well to line level signals that are fed to it. So many pedal lose a lot of their character and range when a strong signal hits them. My Zvex Wooley Mammoth forces me to turn the output from the MC-202 down to about 1 if I don't want the sound to be clamped and compressed.

vocal loops..we'll see what happens with that.

Ok..this is kind of weird, but I figure I'd post it since it relates to this new pedal.

I had a dream that the starve dial was a game countdown timer. Like on those old games..Perfection, etc "Push the plunger down, hit the timer, get the pieces in place, don't be slow..". You'd turn it up, start playing through it and as it counted down and counter rotated, your sound got more and more degraded.

Then it blew up when the dial reached zero. Ha.
