Postby aen » Wed Sep 02, 2009 11:28 pm

SO! Here we are going to do the SMART THING and put the effects of the Power Struggle (or defiance) utilities by Dwarfcraft on the forum, where it is easy to contribute to and update. When you use your power struggle or defiance, post the effects here, even if it does nothing, because we gott akonw that shit!

BOSS
Blues Driver - no effect
Flanger - Rhythmic oscillation

DUNLOP
Crybaby Wah- Nothing

Devi Ever
Disaster Fuzz - Changes oscillaiton tone, softens fuzz
Hyperion - softens tone
TP - Softens tone
Aenima with oscillation- Tunes oscialltion
BIT-stutter out with crazy pitch changes

Digitech
Bad Monkey- Overdrive becomes fuzz

Dwarfcraft Devices
Great Destroyer - same as starve control
Shiva - same as starve control
Thumping Double Square Snakes- Oscilators jump pitch, bit crush, generally get really unpleasant =)
Rot Yr Brain - Same as TDSS
Eau Claire Thunder - self oscillation
Plane Ticket Plus - NE

Danelectro (company owned by scumbag homophobe, not recommended)
Wasabi Reverse Delay -distortion/noise, glitchy timing

Electro Harmonix
Muffs - No Effect
#1 Echo - NE
Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai - NE

Metasonix
I think one of these killed a Defiance, so I'm not going to recommend it, or fix it if you do.

Moog
Moogerfooger Ring Mod - Clicky sounds
Freqbox - NE

MXR
Blue Box- NE
Carbon Copy - distorts echoes, but not clean signal

The Squarewave Parade
Teaspoon- absurd oscillation, a match made in hell.

Mid-Fi Electronics Singing Spoon - Similar to TDSS and RYB. I'm getting some controlled madness from all three using a Robot Factory LFO Mod Box as a CV source for the Power Struggle.
ILF gear: Devi Ever - OK, LP, 33, Noise Floor, Electric Brown/US twin, Dark Boost, Destructo Noctavia, Dream Mangler, Bit Mangler. Effector 13 (by OohLaLa) - Synth Mangler, Torn's Peaker and Truly Beautiful Disaster. Dwarfcraft Devices - Thumping Double Squaresnakes and Rot Yr Brain. Malekko - Vibrato, Ekko 616. Mid-Fi Electronics - Singing Spoon, Pitch Pirate, and Clari(not). Earthquaker Devices - Disaster Transport, Hoof, Bit Commander, Sea Machine. Fuzzhugger Phantom Octave, AB Synth.

Sirkut Moribuleizer - chokes out the lfo, stutters the signal and glitches the fuck out. Best sounding one I have used it on yet I promise. :thumb:

Hello everybody from crush the button country.

I tried the defiance on my pedals

Catalinbread SCOD==> octave down on low string, soften tone, dirty tone and larsen

Guyatone tz-2
Fulltone Ultimate octave
Dunlop TVP
EHX big muff,pulsar
Death by audio Fuzz war, soundwave breakdown, Soundsaw
Zoom Uf-1
Boss dd3,
roland tr-626 (I think)
==> No effects exept soften tone or shutting down.

And the ultimate power struggling: I tried with the Defiance boost: gated crunchy sound :joy:

Question for Aen: What kind of booster is in the defiance? I like it but I don't need the struggle part on my board.

DOD FX90 Analog Delay: :omg: At around 75% power, the delay gets distorted and longer. If repeats are high enough and delay is short enough, turning PS off will get a "winding up" effect, similar to the "twist" on the RE-20 or DD-20. *problem* it will not come on if much power is choked.

FuzzHugger AB-synth: changes texture, gain, etc., similar to dialing back volume on guitar; changes oscillation rate when activated

Dano Fab Distortion: basically changes it to a fuzz

EHX Memory Boy: NE

Mellowtone Mini Wolf CPU: not much
i'm a grrnoise
