SOMMS question

Anybody run a drum machine through it? Can you make the input overpower the oscillators? Like, would it fill the gaps between the percussion hits on a drum machine?

Or is it just always on regardless of input?

The oscillators are on all the time. It is a basic synth. You can turn the volume up on the drum machine to go over the top of the synth pads, but it won't cut out.

Aen might be able to test it, not sure if we have a drum machine anymore or not...

I think if you had it all up REALLY LOUD the drum machine could start squashing out the synth. and we do have a drum machine! Is called iPad!

If you could test it, it would really be helpful. Have you squashed out the synth with another instrument? would that require completely redesigning the circuit to make it do that? Or maybe as simple as sending the input directly into the oscillator?(I have no circuit building experience, don't know if that's even possible)

You could use a compressor with side-chaining capabilities.
